Hank Kim has forged a distinctive career path over the past 20 years, combining journalism/PR experience with brand marketing expertise in traditional advertising and in branded entertainment. He brings this broad range of eclectic skill sets to bear to Hank Kim Consulting, an affiliate of WIT Strategy.

Most recently, Kim was the co-founder and director of MPG Entertainment at MPG USA, a media services unit of Paris-based Havas. Launched in 2004, Kim spearheaded the development of integrated entertainment-based marketing programs for an array of major advertisers including Dannon, Volvo, Sears and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
Kim also oversaw strategic corporate communications for MPG USA. Duties included both external press relations/strategy and speechwriting.

Prior to joining MPG, Kim was the launch editor of Madison & Vine, Ad Age’s successful ground-breaking, multiplatform editorial approach to covering branded entertainment. In addition to serving as launch editor of the M+V online newsletter, he was one of the key organizers and moderators of the successful Madison & Vineconference franchise in Beverly Hills. His journalism career also includes contributions to such editorial brands as Advertising Age, Adweek, Variety, New York Times, NPR and CNN.
