Mr. Magargee worked as an attorney for the Philadelphia-based law firm Cozen O’Connor, one of the 75 largest law firms in the country, from August of 1996 through December of 2005, when he departed as a senior partner. As a member of Cozen’s business litigation group, he represented individual and corporate clients charged with federal and state criminal offenses, investigated or audited by various regulatory governmental agencies and in private-party civil litigation. In that capacity, he regularly counseled clients in matters involving agencies such as the Securities & Exchange Commission, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Justice Department. Mr. Magargee’s strategic contact with national and international media outlets in connection with his representation of some of his more high-profile clients was essential to their success.

For the past three years, Mr. Magargee has also provided consulting services to the event marketing department of Reebok International, one of the premier sports and lifestyle apparel companies in the world. His services have included assisting in the production of brand events, consulting in various aspects of the company’s marketing efforts and supporting the company’s efforts to increase its brand awareness.

In 2005, Mr. Magargee was named as a Pennsylvania “Rising Star” by Law & Politics, which annually identifies outstanding Pennsylvania lawyers who have demonstrated superior professional potential in their respective practice areas. He also was honored in 2002 as a Distinguished Advocate by the Support Center for Child Advocates for his many years of providing pro bono legal work and advocacy on behalf of abused and neglected children in the City of Philadelphia. He is a 1988 graduate of Princeton University with an A.B. in American History, and a 1993 graduate of the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond, where he was a senior editor of the school’s Law Review.
